Studying the Bible in context is the goal of Biblical Backgrounds.

and economics. It is the hills, valleys, mountain passes and cities.

fear of the superpowers. It is culture, climate and crops, and many
of the same concerns we have today. Reading the Bible 'in context' is
the first step in understanding the original intention of the writer.
Context
comes alive - The land of the Bible is the 'playing board
of biblical history.' Much of the Bible's most compelling teaching
is embedded
in
events played out on this board. Our 3-D maps, graphic
full color presentations and innovative study methods bring this context
to life. The land is one of the Bible's best commentaries.
Context
is our goal - For decades members of our
staff have lived and taught in Jerusalem and in the land. They
have seen the impact this study makes upon the thousands of
students
whom they have led through the land. Their goal is to help students
discover this context. It is not that difficult, and it makes an
