'Studying the

Bible in context'

EXAMPLE A: REGIONAL STUDY MAP 2--THE LAND BETWEEN

(large names/arrows added for this page)

This map shows the land of the Bible which we call the 'Land Between.' Together with map #1 (Middle East above), this map provides the geographical context for the maps which follow (3-7 above). Assigned markings on these maps in the Regional Study Guide lead the student through selected parts of Regions on the Run with its discussions and full-color maps and charts (see 'Productions'). The scene is set for an in-depth study of the land and its story.

The Northern/Central and Southern/Central Maps (#3-4 above) presents the two main geographical arenas in the land of the Bible. Further assignments reveal how Israel and Judah were each set in different contexts.

Galilee, Judah and Benjamin Maps (#5-7 above) bring the student closer to the land for a look at specific events which can only be understood on detailed maps of this type. Discussions therefore become longer and more specific in this part of the study. Two of these maps can be seen by clicking examples C and D to the left.
